Paste a list of names and let the calculator pick one person at random.
It builds a participant list from the names you enter, ignoring blank entries and optionally removing duplicates. Then it selects one name uniformly at random from the final list.
When enabled, repeated names are kept only once so each person has the same chance of being chosen. When disabled, duplicated entries can increase the chance for those repeated names because they appear more than once in the draw.
Names can be entered one per line or separated with commas or semicolons. Blank lines are ignored so they do not count as participants.
With a uniform random selection, each participant in the final list has the same chance of being picked. If there are n participants after cleaning, the probability for any single participant is 1/n.
