How to use this calculator

1) Choose the mode

Daily: calculates one shift using the current date, start/end times, and breaks.

Weekly: lets you add multiple days and then totals everything in a weekly summary.

2) Enter your shift times

Select a Date, then set Start time and End time.

If the shift ends after midnight (night shift), enter an end time that is earlier than the start time (example: 22:00 → 06:30).

3) Add breaks

Use Break start and Break end, then click Add.

You can add multiple breaks. Breaks that do not overlap the shift are ignored.

Use the quick buttons (30 min, 1:00, etc.) to fill the break end time based on the current break start.

4) Set a target for overtime

Target hours is used to compute overtime or under-target time (default is 08:00).

5) Calculate and review results

Click Calculate to see gross time, break time, net worked time, and overtime vs target.

The timeline visualization shows work blocks and break blocks across the shift.

6) Weekly totals and export

In Weekly mode, click Add day from current inputs for each day you want to include, then click Calculate.

Use Copy summary to copy a text report, or Download CSV to export your data.
